synopsis

Planned by Frederick Law Olmsted in 1891, Charlestown Heights was developed on the prior estate of Boston resident William Dohen. Bordered by Medford St, Bunker Hill St, and Quincy St, the rectangular park included a two-story shelter and playground (plan 00908-09), and a set of two staircases made of boulder rock (00908-23).
