synopsis

The Newport Hospital project is one of several subdivisions designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and John Charles Olmsted within the Rocky Farm neighborhood of Newport, RI. Commissioned in 1886, the pair drew plans for a residential community located on land owned by the Newport Hospital and Newport resident George A. Richmond.
