Crowley to Olmsted Brothers_07-14-1915_LOC-OAR-B-R292_im.2] Mr. James Dawson worked with company owner J. T. Crowley to prepare plans for the CT subdivision, noting that “the town isn’t large and is situated along the Naugatuck river, with hills rising abruptly on both sides of the valley…” [Visit by Mr Dawson_07-27-1915_LOC-OAR-B-R292_im.5] The land was developed with the intention of providing homes for future employees. The grading plan showed the land segmented into 14 distinct sections, with relatively large lots. Amenities included a ballfield, playground, tennis court, and school.
