In 1930 the Olmsted Brothers were contacted by Fisk University to create a general plan for the Nashville, TN campus. The block plan showed five areas for a boys dormitory group, girls dormitory group, study group, student group, and recreation group. The report stated “north and south of the library there would be long quadrangles.

The report stated “north and south of the library there would be long quadrangles.
