As a research tool, this report on the Olmsted Brother's Master Planning & Landscaping Washington State Capitol Grounds is drawn from primary records at the Library of Congress and Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site (National Park Service) and provides a foundation of values for working with the historic West Capitol Campus landscape. It is part of the primary source document library for the capitol, including Historic Structure Report Documents for the contributing historic buildings and monuments. The report, held at the Washington State Archives, was prepared by Artifacts Architectural Consulting, as the Capitol Conservator, and SBA Landscape Architects for the Washington State Department of General Administration in 2008.
