Description
Bear Grass Creek flows through Cherokee Park, designed by Olmsted beginning in 1891. Open groves of trees on either side of the stream made possible Olmsted’s intent that visitors enjoy “the contemplation of superb umbrageous trees, standing singly and in open groups, distributed naturally upon a gracefully undulating greensward.” - C.E. Beveridge {Vegetation - CIrcuation - Water Feature - Structure}
