Conditions of authorized download and use of digital copies of materials from the collection of the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site, National Park Service include non-commercial and non-profit study, scholarship, research and teaching as well as criticism, commentary or news reporting.
If a user intends to use a copy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," the user is personally liable for copyright, privacy, or publicity infringement and agrees to indemnify the National Park Service from any legal action as a result of the error. Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site’s permission to obtain a photographic, xerographic, digital, or other copy of a document does not indicate permission to publish, exhibit, perform, reproduce, sell, distribute, or prepare derivative works from this document without first obtaining permission from the copyright holder and from any private individual, group, or corporation shown or otherwise recorded.
