One of Spokane’s best-known parks; the Olmsted Brothers firm did not create a master design for this site, but included recommendations for it in its Spokane report. Various directors developed the park throughout the years incorporating those guidelines, including playfields, weather-beaten ledges, clipped lawns, flower gardens, wide drives and pathways—and removing the original zoo.
